With the RC2 hardware variant, fixed-focus and C-mount lenses can be used with the evoVIU in addition to liquid lenses. In this chapter you will learn everything about liquid lenses.
1. liquid lenses
The main feature of the evoVIU is the Corning-Varioptic liquid lenses, which can be screwed into the front of the camera in the S-mount design.
The C-module integrates a fixed lens module and an A-25H0 variable focus lens in an M12 mount (S-mount). The module is built in with a FPC cable and can be connected to a standard FPC connector with 1mm spacing.
All lenses have high shock resistance and their focus is controllable up to 255 steps in the RC2 variant. The basic difference between the built-in liquid lenses in your evoVIU is the focal length (Effective Focal Lenght).
